Give your attention back to life.
A small moment of choice before you open an app automatically.
Get started
1. Grant Screen Time permission
Follow the prompt during setup. Aware needs this permission to read usage duration and apply interventions to the apps you choose.
2. Add apps to manage
Open Overview, tap Add App, choose the apps you want to manage, and set a daily limit for each one.
3. Choose a pause method
When a limit is reached, you can pause for a few seconds before deciding. You can also start a Focus session to temporarily pause selected apps.
Frequently asked questions
Why did the intervention not appear immediately?
Screen Time is scheduled by iOS, so there can be a short delay after a threshold is reached. Confirm that Screen Time permission is still enabled and that the app remains in your Managed Apps list.
Why is today’s usage taking time to update?
System usage data can arrive in the background. Aware keeps the last valid reading visible while it refreshes quietly. It does not read chats, browsing content, photos, or anything inside an app.
When does access return after temporary continuation?
The intervention automatically returns when the temporary continuation ends. Ending a Focus session manually removes the restriction created by that session.
How do I stop managing an app?
Open the app’s settings from Overview, turn off its plans, or remove it from Managed Apps. Aware then clears the corresponding restriction.
Privacy and data
Aware uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs and privacy-protected app selections. We do not read chats, searches, videos, contacts, or other in-app content. Usage summaries and intervention history are stored primarily on your device.
Actual usage totals follow Apple’s Screen Time data. Some readings may be delayed by the system sync process.
